Writer Resources

As a writer, this Discord group has been one of the best things that’s happened to me as a writer. The support I’ve received has kept me going on my writing journey. From sprints, to conversations working through plot issues, to connecting with needed services (cover artists, editors, etc…), and to have a place to talk to other writers - this group is incredible. Fiverr is good place to connect with fellow creatives for different parts of the publishing process. Make sure you are taking time to vet who you work with. This is the alpha reader I used when completing
Love Stories Are… and I cannot recommend her enough. She was incredible to work with and made my stories better. Connect with her here.

Since I format my own ebooks, I use Atticus. There are many other programs available, however, as a PC user, I find that Atticus works the best for me.

Depositphotos is a pay-per-photo service giving you a limited license to use those photos in marketing/promotional materials.

I happen to buy 100 images on sale, it can get pricy but the photos have good variety.

Unsplash offers lots of free photo options that I use in making marking and TikTok videos. I’m newer to this site, but I’m finding it useful for sure.

Arguably Floorplanner is a more commercial-based site, but as a writer of contemporary books - I use it to map the spaces my characters occupy. It helps to keep things like hallways, doorways, and rooms in perspective.

Canva is an ever-evolving, ever-changing program that I would be remiss not to mention. I designed my cover for Love Stories Are… with Canva. You can make logos, marketing flyers, and videos to name a few things. I call it graphic design for dummies
